Prologue

Squall and seifer fight furiously, exchanging blows. A mere training session quickly turns into something much more fierce. Squall and Seifer injure eachother. Each with a deep scar across his brow, they fail to see the symbolism. Their personalities are polar oposites, yet their scars, mirror images of eachother, suggest otherwise. Their fates are mingled. Their destinies intertwined.

I: The Fire Cavern

Squall wakes up, dazed and confused. He remembers little about the fight, and his spirits are dampened by something that he cannot quite place. As if something looms in the near future. Some ominous force. The field exam for SeeD candidates approaches. Squall must pass a dangerous test before he can participate. He must face a demon from the fire, and summon a ghost from his past. One that is both familiar, and worrisome.
